A Supportive, Holistic Approach

Seeking help with your dog’s behaviour can feel like a big step, and I understand how important it is to receive non-judgemental, empathetic guidance. Together, we’ll look beneath the surface of your dog’s behaviour to uncover the root causes, creating a plan that supports lasting change.

By focusing on your dog’s emotional, physical, and mental wellbeing, I’ll help you strengthen your bond and develop the understanding and skills you both need to thrive - building confidence and calm through kind, effective methods.

Over fourteen years of learning, listening and supporting dogs

Over the past 14 years, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, backgrounds and temperaments - from lively puppies to complex behaviour cases. My professional qualifications and experience have given me a deep understanding of dogs and how we can best support them with empathy and evidence-based practice.

I have spent many years involved in rescue, both professionally and voluntarily.  I’ve fostered over 20 dogs for a large charity and supported many who arrived with emotional or behavioural challenges. This has strengthened my appreciation for the importance of creating safety, trust and choice in every interaction.

I share my home with five wonderful dogs, including three rescues.  My Border Collie, Rosie, came to us on foster after a difficult start in life.  Despite facing significant behavioural challenges, and later being diagnosed with hypermobility of the lumbosacral spine, for which she underwent spinal surgery in 2025, her progress and resilience continue to inspire me every day.

In 2024, we adopted Labradors Bill and Peggy, each with their own struggles and they’ve been lovingly supported by our resident Labradors, Doug and Archie, who’ve played a vital role in helping our rescue dogs adjust and feel safe.

My Ongoing Commitment to Rescue Dogs

Supporting rescue dogs has been an important part of my work for many years. As a qualified behaviourist I have worked with rescue dogs from the UK and overseas, helping them overcome trauma, fear, and uncertainty as they transition into their new homes.

As Behaviourist for a well known rescue charity, I provided behavioural support for dogs within the rescue setting, provided short-term foster care and offered post adoption support to rescue dogs in their new homes. I’ve supported dogs experiencing anxiety, resource guarding, reactivity and aggression - always using a compassionate, trauma-aware and individualised approach.

Today, my focus has shifted toward helping people and their dogs beyond the rescue system - giving adopters the professional support and guidance they need. Because for many rescue dogs, the real journey begins once they come home.
